On to Grasstown - Cave Story
Composer - Pixel
I recently got Cave Story 3D for my 3DS, and am therefore in a Cave Story mood for the next week or so.
ENJOY
Main Theme - Cave Story
Composer - Pixel
Cave Story is a fun little freeware game made by one man, known as Pixel.
Here is the main theme.
Slateport City - Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire
Composer - Go Ichinose
One of my favourite cities, I love the music
Hyrule Temple - Super Smash Bros. Brawl (originally The Legend of Zelda II: Link’s Adventure)
Composer - Akito Nakatsuka
I feel like some location tunes tonight
Kanbei’s Theme - Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising
Composer - Yoshito Hirano
Last one for today (I tried to get one CO from each of the five armies): Kanbei, Emperor of Yellow Comet.
Imperious and headstrong, his troops have the finest training of any army. Doesn’t come cheap, either.
Sami’s Theme - Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising
Composer - Yoshito Hirano
Sami of Orange Star, infantry specialist.
She don’t take shit.
Lash’s Theme - Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising
Composer - Yoshito Hirano
Meet Lash, the teen genius of the Black Hole army.
Chirpy, almost hyperactive, isn’t she?
Drake’s Theme - Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising
Composer - Yoshito Hirano
Take a look at the picture of Drake from Green Earth here, and take a wild shot in the dark as to his specialty.
Hint: It’s not aerial combat.
Colin’s Theme - Advance Wars 2
Composer - Yoshito Hirano
Time for some Advance Wars character themes!
I’ve always loved the character themes from Advance Wars. Each one is perfectly tailored to the individual CO (Commanding Officer, this is a war game after all, all the characters are COs)
Here is Colin, the inexperienced, idealistic CO from Blue Moon. Luckily he comes from a fabulously wealthy family, allowing him to field ALL the troops.
Lucca’s Theme - Chrono Trigger
Composer - Yasunori Mitsuda
This is Lucca’s theme.
Do you know why it’s so triumphant?
Because a main character’s theme song normally only plays when they have an important character moment.
With one exception, Lucca’s only really important character moments come in the form of her kicking all the ass at once with her massive brain.
And when you make a character’s theme song, you expect to play it more than once, otherwise how will they know it’s that character’s theme and not a song composed just for that scene?
